User Roles and User Types
Votito distinguishes two broad groups of people who interact with your research:
- Workspace members are the people inside your organization who sign in to Votito to create and run research. Every member belongs to one or more workspaces and has a role in each — either Researcher or Admin.
- Panelists are the external participants who respond to your research — answering surveys and voting on or commenting on ideas. They don’t have accounts and aren’t members of your workspace.
Every workspace member has one of two roles — Researcher or Admin:
| Capability | Admin | Researcher |
|---|---|---|
| Create and manage surveys | ✓ | ✓ |
| Create and manage idea banks | ✓ | ✓ |
| Invite and remove members | ✓ | — |
| Change member roles | ✓ | — |

The pages below explain each role and user type in detail.
