App Changelog

An app changelog that writes itself.

Stop maintaining a separate release log by hand. Mark a proposal as Implemented in Votito and it publishes to a clean, public changelog, newest first, in your customers' own time zone.

Changelog Software

Changelog software that updates itself when you ship.

A changelog is the public record of what you have shipped: release notes that tell customers a feature they asked for is now live. Changelog software automates that record, so instead of editing a static page on every release, each shipped item is published in reverse-chronological order with the date it went out.

A good changelog closes the feedback loop. It tells the people who requested a feature that you listened, it shows prospects that the product has momentum, and it cuts down on "is this done yet?" support tickets.

Most changelog SaaS products are a separate subscription bolted onto your stack: yet another tool to wire up, keep in sync, and pay for. Votito takes a different route, building the changelog into the place where you already collect and refine ideas, so there is nothing extra to integrate.

Changelog Tool

The changelog tool that's already in your idea bank.

There is no separate changelog tool to set up. Every idea bank already has a public changelog built in. It is off until you turn it on, and works even on an internal idea bank while voting stays private.

Publishing is a single action: set a proposal's status to Implemented. It appears on the changelog instantly, newest first, with the date it shipped shown in each visitor's own locale. No copy-pasting, no second system to keep in sync.

Each entry's description is written in Markdown, so a changelog note can carry real detail. Headings, bold highlights, bullet lists and links to docs all render cleanly on the public page. Keep recent releases rich and older ones light.

Changelog App

A changelog app for wherever your users already are.

However you reach your users, there is a way to put the changelog where they already are.

Share a secure URL. Every changelog has its own private, unguessable link. Send it to customers, drop it in a release email, or link it from your help centre. It stays off search engines unless you choose to make it public.

Embed it in your product. Drop the changelog into your own app with an iframe or widget for a true in-app changelog, so users see "what's new" without ever leaving your product.

Build a custom integration. Pull implemented proposals through a custom API integration and render them however you like: a "what's new" card inside a mobile app, a release digest, or a section on your marketing site.

Application Change Log

Everything your application change log needs, already built in.

The changelog app is part of every idea bank, not a bolt-on. To turn it on, configure the page subtitle, set how many recent items to show, and grab the share link, follow the step-by-step Public Changelog guide.

If you are new to the container that holds your proposals, start with working with idea banks, then see proposal statuses to learn how items move from draft to Implemented. The changelog is independent of who can vote. The access levels guide explains how a private idea bank can still publish a public changelog.

Turn "done" into a changelog.

Capture proposals, refine them with your community, and the moment you ship, mark them Implemented to publish them on a public changelog automatically. Free to start. Live in under five minutes.
